This English Heritage St Clement’s Gin is carefully distilled with selected botanicals including juniper, almond, Seville orange, liquorice and coriander. The blood orange and fresh lemon peel are then expertly blended into the gin to give a natural faint orange blush and refreshing citrus taste. Excellent served as a sipping gin, perfect for Negroni or as a simple gin with tonic and a slice of lemon or orange.

Tasting Notes: Nose: Intense Clementine Zest and Lemon Zest rush out of the glass. Sweet pink peppercorns and spicy black peppercorns support the classic Assay Juniper hit and a subtle, sweet and dry liquorice hum. Palate: Classic Assay mouth coating syrupiness. The Clementine and Lemon from the nose transfers to the palate and keeps building. Really powerful juniper and peppercorn keep the assertiveness coming. Very light liquorice underneath. Finish: Oranges and Lemons linger far after the other notes like juniper, pepper and liquorice have faded. Very, Very long on the finish. All in all, an incredibly bold, positive gin that encapsulates the natural citrus flavours in heady juniper and light spice.

About the Producer
After five keen spirit lovers from Sheffield met at tasting sessions and decided they wanted to start their own project, Sheffield Distillery was born. Their artisan spirits would be made by hand, using smell, taste, sight, intuition, knowledge & passion early on in the journey, the distillery gained permission from the Sheffield Assay Office and Assay Master to use the ‘Assay’ name & the Sheffield Assay Mark, bringing the ‘Mark of Quality’ to the brand. The small batch gin & small batch vodka is made onsite at The Commercial Inn, Chapeltown, in a custom-built distillery situated in the pub’s beer garden. The expressions are slow distilled in a hand hammered Copper Pot still, to produce a clean product with an exquisite & unique syrupy mouthfeel.
