York Gin
York Gin Distillery makes award-winning Gin within the historic city of York. It’s the only one distilling within the city limits. In two buildings located near the Archbishop of York’s Palace in Bishopthorpe they distil 6 gins in batches of just 300 litres. Their alembic copper still, Ebor, is a call back to ancient history too. Did you know that stills need a name by law? In this case, Ebor is short for Eboracum, which is the Roman name for York. Their bottles and packaging also evoke the ancient walls that surround them.
